When we want our flowers to perform their best, to bloom with all the beauty and strength they carry, we let them rest. We let them rest in cool water so they can recover from the shock of being harvested from the field and present in the vase with all they can muster. We respect the flowers' need to rest. We respect the earth’s need to rest after a season of immense energy spent. We replenish the soil, and we hydrate our flowers because we know our farms and flowers need this time to recover.
