Small & Simple Farms
Small & Simple Farms (Nephi, Utah) was founded on the idea that “by small and simple things are great things brought to pass.”
Small & Simple Farms recently partnered with the Utah Department of Corrections to bring more beauty into the lives of the female residents of the Utah State Correctional Facility. With generous support from Erin Benzakein of Floret Flowers, the growers of the Utah Flower Market, and individual sponsors, they have been able to bring fresh flowers, holiday wreaths, and educational opportunities to the incarcerated women.
It is such a simple thing to provide flowers for a group of women. But the comments from the prison residents demonstrate the tremendous impact it can have:
“I don’t even remember the last time I saw this many colors!”
“The smell is so fresh. It’s been 16 years since I smelled a flower.”
“Ohhh Jesus, thank you for letting me see these beautiful flowers today.”
