June Blooming Zoom: Pest Management with Nick Volesky

Nick is a program associate with Utah State University Extension's Integrated Pest Management Program. His responsibilities include scouting various vegetable and cut flower production farms for signs of disease or arthropod pests. He collaborates with growers to identify and manage these pest issues. Furthermore, he disseminates seasonal pest advisories, writes and edits publications and fact sheets, develop web content, and design and conduct outreach programs to support farmers and homeowners in implementing integrated pest management strategies. His research aimed to evaluate high tunnel and field production practices, bloom timing, harvest duration, fertility requirements, yield, and varietal performance.
