Hi, I'm Julie Hall. I'm a farmer/florist growing fresh cut flowers on 1-acre of land in beautiful Mapleton, UT. I'm also a mom to 7-year old twins, a writer, an avid reader and I love a good adventure! I began selling flowers in 2020 and even though the world was tumultuous it was actually a great year to begin. It was a gift to be surrounded by beauty and share that beauty with others during such a difficult time. I'm so grateful for the kindness I get to be a part of as people give my flowers to people they love. (That feeling is what keeps me going on hard days.) I am also learning everyday to lean into the challenge of growing a business and an enormous garden and a young family at the same time! Thanks for supporting my small business and local flowers! Maple Bloom Flower FarmJulie HallAt Maple Bloom we believe in the power of flowers to create connection, bring joy, spread kindness, and make the world more beautiful. We grow specialty cut flowers and foliage on our 1-acre farm nestled in the foothills of Maple Mountain. We love our land! We believe in stewardship and sustainability. It's important to us to farm in a way that is good for our family, good for our ecosystem and good for our community. Because of this we use organic and regenerative farming methods. We grow over 180 varieties of cut flowers and foliage and sell both to wholesale customers and the public. You can help bring a little beauty into the world by purchasing a flower share, buying an arrangement or wrapped bouquet for someone you love, or picking up flowers for a special event. You can also find our flowers (and other locally grown flowers) at the Utah Flower Market weekly from April-October.DIY BucketsUtah Flower Market < Back Edit My Profile Maple Bloom Flower Farm At Maple Bloom we believe in the power of flowers to create connection, bring joy, spread kindness, and make the world more beautiful. Welcome to our flower farm! My name is Paige Goodson, and together with my husband Michael, we've started out on a little adventure. Michael is a 4th generation agricultural farmer, and I am an educator. We live on our farm property that has about 200 adjoining acres. I have a passion for flowers and the joy they spark in all who give and receive them. In recent years, I've taken a slice of our acreage to grow, experiment, meditate, and find calm in the garden. From seed to harvest, flowers represent such a beautiful cycle.Country Sunshine Flower FarmPaige GoodsonIt is our desire to have others share in that experience as well. When I was little, I wanted a cement yard and nothing to do with gardening. My parents were both avid gardeners: my father with vegetables and my mother with flowers. I would begrudgingly assist when asked to do so. But as I've grown older, (hopefully) wiser, and gained some life-experience, the soil, the process, the success and the failures of gardening have provided a sanctuary that gives me peace. The flowers are the product, but the journey is what is important. It's the journey of self-discovery, persistence, and learned gratitude for what we cannot control. While we are blessed with many acres to grow our crops; it doesn't take but a few square feet to experience the journey. Our flower farm sets out to help the backyard gardener experience the joy of growing, harvesting, and sharing flowers. < Back Edit My Profile Country Sunshine Flower Farm It is our desire to have others share in that experience as well. The garden constantly teaches me and is where I find peace, but itās also where I feel inspired to create designs that emulate what I see naturally occurring there. Because I grow some of my own flowers I have a deep respect and admiration for flower farmers and choose local blooms whenever possible. Understanding the positive effect buying local has on our earth and community as well as my desire to support women-owned businesses makes it an easy choice for me. Learn More I'm a paragraph. Emily hasn't looked back since. This garden-style design influences what she plants in her micro flower farm and how she brings her flowers together in an arrangement. She is inspired by the works of Ariella Chezar, Milli Proust, Kristen Griffith-VanderYacht, and Sarah Raven, all who also embrace the natural form and movement of the flowers they work with. Emily has been designing with her homegrown flowers for 3 years. Much of her product she grows herself, but she is happy to source material from her fellow local flower farmers and wholesaler. Her favorite flower is ranunculus, and her favorite color to design with is yellow! Check out her photo gallery on her website to see more of her designs. Learn More I'm a paragraph. I absolutely love to "Spread Sunshine" to those around me. Although I have been growing dahlias for over 12 years, my passion in flower farming started 5 years ago. I quickly realized how many others around me had the same passion as I did, and "Bailey's Blooms" was born. I absolutely love every classification of dahlias and grow all 42, although I am passionate about Waterlily forms, balls, formal decorative and larger AA forms. We at Bailey's Blooms love hosting Floral arranging parties, hosting youth groups, teaching at Thanksgiving Point, The Utah Dahlia Society, running fund raisers for local charities and sharing all things dahlias. Most of which I do for free to educate and share my knowledge to those who are eager to learn. We have been growing flowers In beautiful Midway for almost 40 years. After retiring from 30 years in EMS/rescue I began selling our flowers at the Midway Farmers Market. I love meeting our customers and talking flowers and veggies, so if youāre ever in the area on a Saturday, stop by! Timpanogos Flower FarmLauna NielsonWe have been in our current location for almost 30 yrs and have slowly been creating a fun place for our kids and grandkids to come to as well as more space to grow flowers. Itās been sad watching many of the local farms and open space disappear, but Timpanogos is there everyday watching over us, just as she did for my ancestors who were some of the first to settle Midway. I try to always remember how much harder they had it (especially when Iām battling grasshoppers!) and to try to be just as resilient as they were. We have been working hard growing many different plants to help keep local pollinators happy and do our best to grow sustainably and follow organic guidelines. While it can be tricky growing in our higher altitude and shorter growing season, we have always loved a challenge. A high tunnel now allows us some protection in the spring and fall and has been a welcome addition! Flowers can help people feel happier and that in itself is reason to grow them. I am a farm girl through and through. I was born and raised on a dairy farm in North Dakota, but we didn't just milk cows, we also raised beef cattle and all of the hay and grain needed to support both of the herds. Spring was a busy time on the farm between calving, planting the fields, first cutting of the alfalfa and planting the gardens. I say gardens because my mom planted one, my grandmother (who also lived on the the farm) planted one and my town grandpa also planted a large garden at the farm. But then there was the flowers. The hedge row of peonies, the driveway lined with lilacs, and the farmyard dotted with flower beds full of perennials, just waiting on the annuals to be planted. It was a glorious place to grow up and a wonderful way to be raised. This is where my love of flowers was born, beside my mother and my grandmother, with our hands in the dirt and sweat on our brows.Willow Creek Flower and HerbSara AsbridgeIn 2017, my daughter had the opportunity to travel to France on a school trip. We were looking for creative ways to fund-raise and decided to grow and sell fresh cut flower bouquets. We already grew a yard full of perennials and a large garden. Emily Brooksby loves flowers, gardening, and designing. What started out as a hobby growing flowers in pots on the balcony of her first home has blossomed into a passion project and business. Her business is named after her grandmothers, and she frequently channels their work ethic and green thumb when starting new seeds or troubleshooting farm problems and challenges. While she is always growing something new each year, she will always plant her favorite flower, ranunculus! Bessie and Joyce FlowersEmily BrooksbyEmily has a small urban farm, less than 1/8 of an acre, nestled in the heart of Harvest Hills in Saratoga Springs. Despite its small size, Emily is able to grow thousands of flowers and filler every year. Rows of flowers are grown in raised beds, and the garden borders of perennials and bulbs are always free game for cutting! She is always saying this will be the last year of removing grass for a new garden bed, and then she proceeds to dig up more grass! To maximize space and extend the season, Emily creates low tunnels each year to grow spring beauties like ranunculus and anemones. She also does intensive succession planting, rotating planting areas with sunflowers, zinnias, and more. All this is done as organically as possible, with natural fertilizers and pest control solutions. Her growing season goes from early April to the end of September.
