Blooming Soon in Utah 🪻

Between the time change to daylight savings, the abundance of warmer than usual weather and the upcoming equinox, I think it is safe to wish you all a happy spring!  While I am enjoying the warm weather, I am secretly (ok, not so secretly) pining for quite a few more snowstorms.  The kind with big,fluffy flakes that cover everything in a magical blanket that seems to suspend time itself.  The kind that makes you feel like a kid again.  I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility given the weather patterns of the last decade.  Just know, if the snow does come, I'll be enjoying a cup of coffee on my couch while watching it snow and then I'll suit up and go to the high tunnel to experience the contemplative stillness that the snow brings to my little corner of the world. 

I get it though....springtime is always so welcome and magical in its own right.  It is my favorite time of the year.  Birdsong, spring rains, the waking up of the trees and flowers, the bumbling bumblebees.  Oh, the sounds, sights and scents are fabulously decadent! 

In the middle of all of this magic, Utah's flower farmers are starting the busiest part of their season.  Spring is an exhilarating challenge. There is so much that needs to be done pretty much all at the same time. Now is a great time to find your local flower farmer and connect with them.  Click here to use our handy locator map! 

Farmers are currently selling CSA or bouquet subscriptions, advertising for on farm events and tuber sales. It's also a good time to inquire about flower availability for Easter, Mother's Day and graduations.  If you're interested in internships and employment, now is also the time to reach out.  Many farmers happily take volunteers and many hire seasonal help.  

As we move into the business of the spring season, I hope that you all find time to enjoy the magic of it all.  The hope and the promise of springtime always fully delivers!
