Hi, I'm Mollie, owner of Foothill Farm Flowers. I have always loved growing things - starting from when I was 4 and my dad gave me my own row of peas to take care of for a season. My mother and grandmother both loved growing flowers each season and would let me help as a child. Watching a seed turn into something beautiful never gets old! After studying computer science, being a software developer, and raising my 4 kids, I decided to make my growing hobby a business and started our cut flower farm. I love teaching my kids the value of hard work and the skills of being an entrepreneur. And most of all I love sharing joy with my community through the beauty of the seasonal blooms we grow.Foothill Farm FlowersMollie PayneFoothill Farm is the nickname I gave our home when we moved to Provo in 2018. We were so excited to have almost an acre of land, and all the possibilities that held for our family. After planting 20 fruit trees and creating a veggie garden in the previously unused earth, we began making plans for a flower farm in 2019. We have been growing and selling flowers ever since! With the whole family helping, we are dedicated to sustainable and safe growing practices. We love sharing joy with our community through the beauty of our flowers. One of our favorite things is introducing our customers to the unique and heirloom varieties we grow. Watching our customers' eyes light up when they discover the difference in our fresh locally grown flowers is one of our favorite things.Provo Farmers' Market < Back Edit My Profile Foothill Farm Flowers Foothill Farm is the nickname I gave our home when we moved to Provo in 2018. Emily Brooksby loves flowers, gardening, and designing. What started out as a hobby growing flowers in pots on the balcony of her first home has blossomed into a passion project and business. Her business is named after her grandmothers, and she frequently channels their work ethic and green thumb when starting new seeds or troubleshooting farm problems and challenges. While she is always growing something new each year, she will always plant her favorite flower, ranunculus! Bessie and Joyce FlowersEmily BrooksbyEmily has a small urban farm, less than 1/8 of an acre, nestled in the heart of Harvest Hills in Saratoga Springs. Despite its small size, Emily is able to grow thousands of flowers and filler every year. Rows of flowers are grown in raised beds, and the garden borders of perennials and bulbs are always free game for cutting! She is always saying this will be the last year of removing grass for a new garden bed, and then she proceeds to dig up more grass! To maximize space and extend the season, Emily creates low tunnels each year to grow spring beauties like ranunculus and anemones. She also does intensive succession planting, rotating planting areas with sunflowers, zinnias, and more. All this is done as organically as possible, with natural fertilizers and pest control solutions. Her growing season goes from early April to the end of September. Hi! My name is Staci and I am a second generation farmer. Iām a wife and mother to 3 amazing boys ( I call them the Treshombresā¦.hence how came up with our name ). My love for nature and being outside started at a very young age. I enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, trail running and fly fishing. So naturally these hobbies led me to create my own outdoor oasis right in my own backyard. Somewhere to sit with my family and enjoy fresh vegetables from the garden to nurture and cultivate beautiful flowers to garnish our kitchen table. The urge to grow my own food for my family led me to the knowledge and power of flowers. And to now share that with our community is such an honor.Treshombres FarmStaci CraigTreshombres Farm is a micro flower farm located in the heart of Orchard country here in Santaquin, Utah. Our farm started as a small raised garden bed in our backyard where the bees that we were raising could flourish. Inter-grating flowers into the garden to help support the pollinators triggered something inside myself that I just could not ignore. Growing and cultivating has become a passion that I want to share with our community. From our small backyard to now small farm plot we have expanded each year, growing more and more unique and beautiful varieties to offer to the community. I am a third generation farmer. I grew up playing in the creek and picking roses from my grandmother's garden in Southern California. I love to spend the day in the sunshine, whether It's in the garden or sitting by the pool or beach. I believe in knowing where your food comes from and I love to trade flowers, vegetables sourdough bread and eggs with friends and neighbors to create a mini self sustaining community.Blue Mountain RanchHeather SmithWe bought our property, Blue Mountain Ranch almost 6 years ago, after searching for 20+ years. We were initially drawn to the mature perennials, trees and stunning views of the mountains. The property sits at the mouth of American Fork canyon in Highland and we have beautiful rich soil. We have worked tirelessly to bring our farm back to life and create a biodiverse environment for pollinators, birds and wildlife. We farm on a little less than 2 acres, although some of it is pasture that we are working to bring the soil back to a healthy state. We are passionate about the soil health and we work to keep our practices sustainable and organic. We grow a variety or vegetables for our own consumption and to share with others and have a growing flower farm as well. We keep chickens for their eggs as well as the rich compost they provide. We also have kept bees in the past and enjoy watching them work to pollinate both our edible and non edible crops. < Back Edit My Profile Blue Mountain Ranch We bought our property, Blue Mountain Ranch almost 6 years ago, after searching for 20+ years. How do you know if you're supposed to be a farmer? Carlyn and Brandon both grew up with agricultural families. It was normal to spend summers picking apples and making forts. Somewhere along the way too many people said that farming wasn't viable. 'Don't do this.' they recommended. After starting a family and careers, farming called again and wouldn't leave them alone. More than anything, that idea wanted to be. At first they borrowed a neighbor's backyard and turned it into a garden. After several years they established themselves in Springville on a permanent space. They love the feeling of being connected to the land and watching it produce abundantly. They enjoy bringing that feeling to other people. They believe this work can be sustainable, lift and inspire the human heart, and heal the soil.Wild Willow GardensCarlyn ThompsonThe farm began its career as a cow pasture. For decades, this place was only good for raising cattle. Then in the mid 1990's a family bought the property with only one scraggly tree on the entire farm. Ironically, it fell over shortly thereafter. For the next 25 years the farm slowly transformed into a beautiful space with ponds, orchards, gardens, native trees, and eventually even a place for a few cows :) Now the farm is transforming again. By embracing natural processes and a new focus on regenerative agriculture, the farm is beginning to produce more abundantly than ever. It will be a thriving space that not only provides the finest blooms, but also inspires those who find it. < Back Edit My Profile Wild Willow Gardens The farm began its career as a cow pasture. Growing up, I didn't have the proverbial green thumb. I would flip through seed catalogs and stare longingly at houses with lovely yards, all while yearning to grow a beautiful garden of my own. I knew it was possible to do here in our arid climate as I have watched my dad and grandfather grow incredible gardens year after year. One day, several years ago, I decided to figure it out so that I could get my hands dirty and feed my passion for flowers. In 2019, this dreamer made the choice to plant a large plot of sunflowers on some of our family's land the following spring. I could never have imagined the impact those flowers made on me and the friendships that would blossom from that venture. Now, a few years down the road, I have moved the "farm" to a much smaller area on a portion of my half acre of red dirt near Zion. I am forever a student of the flowers as I learn which flourish the best in our unique growing conditions. They take a special kind of care and love to grow in the desert, and I am grateful to be here for the journey and for the joy these flowers bring not only to me, but to all who receive them.Blue Sky BloomsKimberlee HendersonUnder the blue skies and warm sunshine of the Southern Utah desert near Zion National Park, growing beautifully in the sandy red dirt, an ephemeral oasis of seasonal flowers bloom. My name is Sheryl Larson and I have loved flowers since I was a teenager. I always wanted to be an artist or a landscape designer, so my life has been aligned in that general area since I was young. I love the process of creating life from a tiny seed and seeing its full potential through the cycle of life in the garden. Beauty to me is diversity of color, texture and shape. Growing beautiful specialty and heirloom flowers below the glowing coral cliffs of Kanab is a milestone in a lifetime journey of ranching and farming. I moved to Southern Utah as a two-year-old and have been connected to the land in one way or another ever since. I love flowers and find joy and peace in growing and sharing them. I have always grown flowers, herbs, vegetables, and trees for my own familyās benefit, but in 2018, I perceived a growing need for people to experience nature for their emotional health and wellness. I talked my husband into letting me plant the .25-acre weedy strip beside the long lane to our house into cut flowers. I have since converted 1.5 acres of our 33 acres of hayfields to flowers. There is a quiet wellness that comes from aligning life with the rhythms of nature and the circle of seasons.
