  • Journey Farm | Utah Cut Flower Farm Association

Growing beautiful specialty and heirloom flowers below the glowing coral cliffs of Kanab is a milestone in a lifetime journey of ranching and farming. I moved to Southern Utah as a two-year-old and have been connected to the land in one way or another ever since. I love flowers and find joy and peace in growing and sharing them. I have always grown flowers, herbs, vegetables, and trees for my own family’s benefit, but in 2018, I perceived a growing need for people to experience nature for their emotional health and wellness. I talked my husband into letting me plant the .25-acre weedy strip beside the long lane to our house into cut flowers. I have since converted 1.5 acres of our 33 acres of hayfields to flowers. There is a quiet wellness that comes from aligning life with the rhythms of nature and the circle of seasons. I have benefited from creating Journey Farm and hope that connection can be felt by visitors and those who purchase or receive the flowers (fruits) of my labors.Journey FarmLoretta ClaysonJourney Farm’s purpose is: Grow flowers to ease the mind, feed the soul, refresh the spirit, and gladden the heart. The sight, smell, and feel of flowers can trigger a pleasant memory or elicit positive feelings. Spending time outdoors is beneficial for wellness but is not always easy to do. Flowers are a convenient way to experience a little nature indoors. We offer wholesale to florists and designers, bulk DIY flowers, bouquet subscriptions, and florals for hospitality businesses and professional offices. We also do workshops, scheduled U-picks, and special on-farm events. Journey Farm continues to evolve/expand our grow list and acreage. We have built high tunnels to extend our ranunculus and dahlia seasons and other structures to facilitate our winter tulip-forcing operation. We use earth/people/animal-friendly methods for safety and sustainability, and no-till practices to build healthier soil. Delivery area: Kanab, Hurricane, St. George, east Cedar Mountain, and east Zion areas.Wholesale to florists and designers, bulk DIY flowers, bouquet subscriptions, floral services to hospitality businesses and professional offices, workshops, scheduled U-picks, and on-farm events.Utah Flower Market Pop-Up < Back Edit My Profile Journey Farm Journey Farm’s purpose is: Grow flowers to ease the mind, feed the soul, refresh the spirit, and gladden the heart. • Utah Flower and Foliage | Utah Cut Flower Farm Association

I’m Katy and I have been in love with flowers all my life. I come from a family of flower gardeners and I have owned a garden maintenance and consulting business for 26 years. Two years ago I started selling bouquets of flowers that were grown in my own yard. The idea has evolved into a business where I am learning and creating and expanding all the time. I enjoy providing fresh seasonal flowers to the local community and sharing the message of the economic, environmental and social benefits of "buying local".Utah Flower and FoliageKaty RoachUtah Flower & Foliage is a micro farm located in the Salt Lake Valley. I grow flowers at various locations - my house, my friends’ houses, and a community garden plot. Ever since I heard about the Slow Flowers movement several years ago, it has been my dream to have a flower farm of my own. I grow a wide variety of annuals, perennials and shrubs and my favorites are the old-timey fragrant flowers like roses, viburnum, lilacs, iris, heliotrope, and sweet peas. I love it when a customer tells me about a flower that brings to mind a happy memory. I’m excited about my expansion plans for 2021, in both production and sales. There will be more to offer and more opportunity to share the beauty and benefits of local flowers! • Artisanal Blooms | Utah Cut Flower Farm Association

First thing to know about me is one of my biggest passions is flowers. Growing flowers, arranging flowers, and teaching about flowers make me excited. My passion for flowers began when I had the opportunity to attend a study abroad in London. I always knew flowers were beautiful, but when I was in London I was amazed by the charming landscapes full of flowers. After, my study abroad I became a teaching assistant at BYU for Floral Design and started my own floral company. Upon graduating I spent a year working in floral wholesale followed by event planning. I spent many years doing this and the opportunity came up to apply to be the floral design adjunct professor at BYU. In order to apply I needed to have a masters degree. I attended Washington State University and received my degree in Agriculture. While working on my degree I knew I wanted to start a flower farm and bring flowers to the community around me. Artisanal BloomsBrianna WellsAfter spending over 15 years in the floral industry creating beautiful events it was time to learn more. While I still do lots of events I decided having a flower farm would create a beautiful atmosphere for my 3 children. Having them help me grow all of our flowers from seed, plant them, take care of them, and arrange them has brought us so many fun memories that I want to continue to make at our farm. We love having a farm that brings so many people together to enjoy our beautiful secret garden while being outside. < Back Edit My Profile Artisanal Blooms After spending over 15 years in the floral industry creating beautiful events it was time to learn more. • Cherry Petals Flower Farm | Utah Cut Flower Farm Association

Cherry Petals is run by Britin Van Brocklin, she received her masters degree in accounting and has been working in accounting for almost a decade. Britin needed a creative outlet and a way to help teach her children the importance of hard work and the importance of getting outside everyday. She had dreamed of growing and selling flowers for a few years and finally after hours and hours of research Britin bought her first seeds in January 2017. Since then the flower farm has changed and improved every year and although farming isn't easy it is very rewarding.Cherry Petals Flower FarmBritin Van BrocklinCherry Petals Flower Farm is an urban farm located in Kaysville, UT. The first year we grew at our grandparents cherry orchard (hence the name Cherry Petals) and sold at the Salt Lake Farmers market. We then moved to a new house with a bigger lot and have been able to grow and sell locally for the past six seasons. We grow our flowers organically and focus peonies, roses and other long lasting cut flowers. We love having cut flowers in our home and love being able to provide others with fresh local flowers. We also love being able to share our surplus blooms with our neighbors and families. Flowers really do help people feel better and we love being able to spread some joy with our flowers. < Back Edit My Profile Cherry Petals Flower Farm Cherry Petals Flower Farm is an urban farm located in Kaysville, UT. • Three Sprouts Flower Farm | Utah Cut Flower Farm Association

Hi! I am Lindsey - the owner of an urban dahlia farm in Farmington, UT. It wasn't in the plans to be a dahlia farmer but after 5 years of growing and selling flowers I found out I was really good at growing dahlia flowers and storing their tubers (if you know, you know). Now I grow over 2000 dahlias! I love doing research and have been awarded a grant through the UCFFA as well as the ASCFG a national organization dedicated to specialty cut flowers. The grant topics were : 1) Dahlia Crop Per Drop Evaluation at Full and Reduced Irrigation With and Without Mulch 2) Dividing Dahlias: a cost benefit analysis of single tuber vs small clumps dividing. This research helps me to cultivate dahlias to the best of my ability. Three Sprouts Flower FarmLindseyIn 2018 I negotiated an 800 sq ft area in our backyard and boldly signed up for the Kaysville Farmers market and sold a few subscription bouquets. The concept of local flower farms was relatively new and there were amazing people who supported the farm. The farm continued to grown and in 2021 I got a dream gig - providing mixed bouquets to Harmons Grocery! I was deeply deeply schooled in learning about times and season. This season wasn't to stay as I navigated the complex relationship of working and growing humans. So I took a chance and changed my entire model of growing and selling to a single crop. Dahlia. What a wonderful beautiful year it was. This season is here to stay for a while. < Back Edit My Profile Three Sprouts Flower Farm In 2018 I negotiated an 800 sq ft area in our backyard and boldly signed up for the Kaysville Farmers market and sold a few subscription bouquets.
